The World Famous Cardboard*Con Costume Contest
Our world famous costume contest is the most laid-back contest in the sci-fi con industry! The prizes are highly sought after, yet incredibly crappy and often don't make it back home with the winners. NO PRESSURE! Just come and have fun!
The Robert Gair Memorial Loving Cup
The Grand Prize Winner of the badly run and extremely confusing Cardboard*Con costume contest was traditionally awarded the legendary Robert Gair Memorial Loving Cup (referred to more casually as "The Cardboard Cup").
Unlike normal trophies, the winner was allowed to keep The Cardboard Cup until a new champion was crowned the following year. As part of Cardboard*Con tradition the winner's name was permanently inscribed onto the trophy, using permanent marker, and each year's winner was able to add tokens of decor to the actual cup.
The cup disappeared around 2013 and has not been seen since, much to the relief of all involved.
